It comprises of three separate areas listed below, new comers are welcome for there first three visits on payment of 50 pence per visit, there after membership is sought annually at current rates. Many groups already use these facilities on a regular basis (see our groups)

Club /Games Room

Sky sports are shown through various monitors and a large screen is available for those must see games. karaoke , quiz and bingo nights are held most weekends.

A smaller cosier bar often closed weekdays but an ideal venue for group meetings and smaller functions with occupancy of 60 persons. For use daytimes and evenings. All bookings to be made through the steward.

Function Room
This is a large 100 capacity dance hall with its own bar and toilets, it has a proper raised stage and lends itself well to band practice, dance and live arts as well larger traditional functions. In its heyday this room played host to many civic annual dinners and hosted touring comedians and pop groups Fleetwood Mac being one of these.

Bookings
Rooms may be provisionally booked through the steward, as a private members club it is a condition of our licence that all bookings are approved by the club committee and reserve the right to refuse admission. The steward can be contacted by telephone 0115 9811486.

Snooker Club
Snooker at the Rutland Sport & Social Club has always played a leading role with the club members, in fact in years past one might have been forgiven for thinking that it was a snooker club first and a social club second. Today Snooker does not hold such a prestigious place in society and the activity at the Club is no exception. There is still, however, a thriving snooker team representing the Club in the Nazareth House Snooker League and the team has a reputation among its opponents, from the recognised Snooker Clubs, as a place where you have to earn every point. Any one interested should contact Clive Atkinson at the club. Members have argued whether we have Snooker tables or Billiard tables in the Club and to clear up the point the rules of Snooker begin by stating that 'Snooker is played on an English Billiard Table' so both sides of the argument are correct.

Friday Night Bingo
Friday night is bingo night and is in the lounge at 8pm sharp. We have around 30 - 35 attending at present, it is always a welcome, friendly affair that our members thoroughly enjoy. We also run a raffle. Thanks to Ann Coleman and her sterling efforts maintaining this entertainment for our elder members over the years.

Pool Club
The pool club was started by Rod Danby several years ago. Matches are played on Monday nights both home, and away. We currently play in the Bentinck pool league; we have about 12 members and always looking for new players. Anyone interested should contact Mick Hewitt at the club

Darts and Dominoes
The darts and dominoes has been a main stay of the club from the beginning. It currently has a team of around 16 members and plays in the South Notts darts and dominoes league. The team plays on a Wednesday evening home, and away in the Rushcliffe area. Any new members should contact David Alpen at the club.
